Happy 2013! Thirteen is my lucky number, and I hoping for a good year. Although, last year was pretty memorable with a successful work year in my career, a few weeks backpacking from Germany to Austria and Slovakia, quitting a job I was happy in, moving to California, and restarting my freelance career. It's nice having more time to focus on Paper Parasol Press. It hasn't been easy living in California with an over inflated costs of living and working for myself, but I have survived thus far. I love living here and feel like I am finally in my element. So, cheers to 2013 and let's do this! I have two new cards hot off the press I wanted to share. The first is a card celebrating my love for Los Angeles and a Feliz Cumpleaños card inspired by retro motel and restaurant signs.
Los Angeles, I love you. A special thanks to Los Angeles for helping me get back into the swing of driving. For me, it's really hard driving in LA because the beautiful scenery is so distracting! It was nice visiting both Yolk, and Reform School. I wanted so many things in their shops! I will definitely have to plan a shopping weekend next time I am in town and I always have plans to make it back to Los Angeles.
Both cards are now up in the Etsy shop.
I am extremely thankful for all the support from both shops and customers in the past year. When someone buys art from me at an opening or an art show, I feel like I owe it to them to keep creating. For this, I thank everyone who has ever supported and believed in my crazy ideas. Hope 2013 is full of happiness, health, and adventure for you all!
