My favorite thing about my job is working with boutique shops around the country. Some of my favorites can be found in neighborhoods of Chicago. Komoda is located in the Humboldt Park area of Chicago. This corner is packed with amazing places. You can shop at Komoda, head across the street to Squasht, grab dinner at Feed (Play to win the golden egg on the coin operated hen!) and travel back in time to the California Clipper Lounge for a cocktail. Komoda was one of my first wholesale stores. The store's pervious life was a hardware store and the nostalgic charm still lingers in the vintage cabinets and drawers. This vintage beauty combined with Komoda's array of gifts is a winning combination. It's always warm, inviting, and fun to shop here. Komoda also carries the best guy gifts from French pocket knives to flasks. I may be partial to this store as well since the name means "dresser" in Polish, but I promise I never leave here empty handed!
