Mondays can sure be a drag. In an effort to blog more (yes, I am still alive and kicking) I will post my favorite people, places, and products on Monday. Since it's winter, why not something to shake those winter blues?
I am a huge sucker for vintage planters. The colors, whimsical animals, faux bois wood, textures, all speak to me! I have to find great self control to not buy every planter I see on Etsy or at the flea market. I picture my future Paper Parasol Press studio with a few hanging around. I would love to gift vintage planters to coworkers as desk friends. Which is how the vintage deer came about (above, bottom left). A coworker thought the deer looked like me, so he brought it in to brighten up my cubicle and it was the only plant who made the long journey from Chicago to San Francisco. I only wish I had eyelashes like her! Succulents, cacti and sometimes a spider plant grow well in small vintage planters. I prefer the slow growers who don't need too much water.
