There are so many magical places in and around the Bay Area and I feel like I can discover a new one every weekend. On Sunday, I went to visit Flora Grubb Gardens. It's such a welcoming place to spend a Sunday afternoon. I did not buy any plants, as they seemed to dang happy where they were, but will definitely be back to get some cacti. The biggest inspiration I came home with was: the amount of passion people have for what they love to do.
Flora Grubb is the mastermind behind Flora Grubb Gardens. Her devotion to creating a beautiful place reminds me why I got into illustration and art in the first place: to create beautiful and happy images in world that can often times be a hard and cruel place. It's a nice reminder to keep creating, stay focused, think big, love what you do, and always have a coffee shop around. (There is a Ritual Coffee on site.) With that, go forth to make beautiful things and make people smile!
Don't you just want to take all of these home?
