Last Friday I spent the entire sunny day doodling. I had to unearth my gauche paints and clean off the dinning room table, but I did it. I get so tied into paperwork, tracking down late invoices, staying organized, and working at the computer so much that I had lost sight of just making time to make art. I need to be more disciplined and I need to be less distracted. Usually, I deactivate my Facebook account for the summer. It's my "summer break" from social networking. I think I will do it again this summer. The more I do it, the more I realized I don't constantly need to be connected. So yes, don't forget to take a day off here and there to go outside, get some sun, or stay in and break out the paints.
